1st Floor Grandstand – The least expensive and most basic option to experience the Kentucky Derby with a reserved ticket in sections 121 – 128, which is located from the end of the 4th turn to half-way down the front stretch. All seating is outside, along rows of metal bleachers, at track level. You cannot see the entire track and will only see the horses as they are near the starting gate and briefly as the come out of the 4th turn during the Kentucky Derby race.
2nd Floor Grandstand – Is directly behind and slightly above the 1st Floor Grandstand in sections 221 – 228, which is located from the end of the 4th turn to half-way down the front stretch Almost all seating is outside, along rows of metal bleachers, just above track level. You cannot see the entire track and will only see the horses as they are loading into the starting gate and as the come out of the 4th turn and briefly into the homestretch during the Kentucky Derby race.
1st Floor Clubhouse – Sits at track level in sections 111 – 117 from the middle of the 1st turn to before the finish line. All seating is in “boxes” that each contain six folding chairs. You can see the horses coming down the front stretch into and through the 1st turn, then again as they come down the front stretch to the finish line. Seating in sections near the finish line are more expensive than those towards the 1st turn.
3rd Floor Grandstand – Sits above the 1st and 2nd Floor Grandstands in sections 322 – 325, which are located from the top of the front stretch to half-way to the finish line. All seating is in “boxes” that each contain six folding metal chairs. Rows A to C are outside, rows D to L are under the cover of a roof. You can see the horses at the start, down the front stretch into the first turn and then again coming into the 4th turn and back down the front stretch to the finish line. The crowds are less, betting windows are easier to access, and food options are upgraded from the 1st and 2nd floor. In our estimation, this seating area is the best combination of viewing location and price to experience the Kentucky Derby.
